Welcome!

From theater entrances to venue ushers, willing volunteers bring their passion and flexibility to help create a dynamic platform for independent film. Those interested in star-sightings and free stuff need not apply. Volunteering at our festival is about helping artists share their stories. Of course, there are exciting benefits such as being among the first audiences to in Tampa Bay, Florida, the US and sometimes even the world! The real benefits of volunteering for the Festival aren’t things, or even films, they are the experiences. So, if you are ready to be part of a special, memorable experience, join us in creating this fantastic event!

Check back often for volunteer updates!

How to Volunteer:

Join us in creating the Nomadic Tendencies Film Festival, Sept 3-12, 2010!

  • Join us at the Volunteer Meet-up on Sept 1 at 7:00pm!

    • Learn more and decide on the departments that interest you (there are many!) and what level of commitment you’d like to make: Full-Time or Sign-Up.
    • Commitment Levels: Requirements and Benefits
    • What Volunteers Do for our Festival Departments
  • Meet the Volunteer Department!
    • Watch your email. We’ll email you when we’re reviewing your application and ask you to call us so we can get to know you and discuss your fit for Festival positions.
  • Matches made in… St Petersburg, FL. When a volunteer’s interests and the Festival’s needs fit, volunteers are offered a Festival Assignment. All details are then sent via email.
  • Get Your Schedule
    • Sign-Up Volunteers email us to select shifts or call.
    • Full-Time Volunteers will have their schedules set for them by the Volunteer Department, and will receive it via email one week prior to the Festival.
  • Check-In, Train, and Festival! All volunteers come to check-in just before volunteering to get their Festival Credential, etc. Volunteers are required to attend training, some of which is provided online. And, finally, it’s Festival time! Volunteers enjoy working their assigned shifts in-between attending events, seeing films, and maybe sleeping.
